Maynooth University Academic Supports & Services
There are a number of great services available on campus to help you get the most out of your academic experience. While these services are always available when you encounter a problem or an issue, they are most effective when you engage with them early; when you have a question, are unsure of something or foresee a problem coming up.
Academic Advisory Office:
The Academic Advisory Office offers a convenient first point of contact for students who wish to seek advice or assistance with their general experience of University life. The service provides an ombudsman-like role for students who may be encountering difficulties in their programme of study. Before you contact them, check if your questions answered in their Frequently Asked Questions.
To contact the Academic Advisory Office, it is recommended to send an email to advisory.office@mu.ie, or to fill out this Academic Advisory Query Form.
The Academic Advisory Office also runs the Exam Results Information Centre for two weeks following the release of results. Through this service, any student can seek information and advice surrounding their results. To contact the Exam Results Information Centre, you can email examresultsinfo@mu.ie, or fill out the Exam Results Query Form (linked when open).
Programme Advisory Office:
The Programme Advisory Office is available to assist and advise undergraduate students, including incoming first year students, with programme related decisions they may be unsure about before and after the registration period, for example subject choices. The Programme Advisory Office is a guide for students as they navigate their own way through their programme options.
To contact the Programme Advisory Office, it is recommended to send an email to programme.choices@mu.ie, or to fill out this Programme Advisory Query Form.
