Eco-grief is the grief felt in response to experienced or anticipated ecological loss.
Eco-anxiety is a chronic fear of environmental doom.
This is our third collaborative event as part of the STAND Festival. Climate change is an overwhelming topic. When people think about the changing planet and the damage we've done it's hard not to feel overwhelmed. You are allowed to feel fear, anger, despair and grief. But there is hope. We live at a time where there is decades of debate, climate science and activism behind us. A lot of work has already been done. That doesn't stop us feeling the way we do. This workshop teaches participants how to manage those feelings and stay mentally healthy.
The STAND Festival is an amazing experience. This year it's going virtual. With a ridiculous amount of quality events you're spoiled for choice. Between the 12th and 24th of October the festival will be running online workshops, panel discussions, webinars, an online exhibition and more.

It's an opportunity not to be missed. STAND is an organisation that's all about getting third level students acting on global issues. They run short courses and a yearly Ideas Collective where you can win funding for a world-changing idea. They also provide internships and networking opportunities for students. STAND even has a society on-campus! They're amazing folks so check them out, check out the festival.
We're excited to be collaborating on 5 different events as part of the festival this year. Check out our socials and other events for more details.
