Aquatics Club

Swimming, Lifesaving and Waterpolo.

MU Aquatics Club is a combination of Swimming, Waterpolo and Lifesaving. The great thing about this is when you join one, you are a member of all three! Its entirely up to you, you can stick to just one training discipline or you can try your hand at all three.

Swimming accommodates all levels from the competitive to the "I haven't swam since the leaving cert" to the people who just want to learn how to swim.  We try to accommodate all levels to the best we can with the hope that we can attend the Inter-Varsity competition after Christmas.

Swimming takes place on Mondays @ 9-10pm and Wednesdays @ 9-10pm in the National Aquatics Centre (NAC), with a free bus for all members leaving south campus at 8:15 each day.

This will be our third year to really get people into Waterpolo with training on every Tuesday night and also a inter-varsity competition after Christmas. If you've never played Waterpolo before come along for the craic and see what it's all about.

Waterpolo takes place on Tuesdays @ 8-10pm in Stewarts Swimming Pool in Palmerstown, also with a bus leaving from South campus beforehand.

Lifesaving are ran in association with IWS (Irish Water Safety). We are hoping to have all members qualified with a Rescue One Qualification by the end of the year. We will also train members in CPR, Basic Life Support and on how to use an AED.

Training takes place every Wednesday @ 9-10pm in the NAC.

We don't have anything planned right now but check back soon!
