MSU Elections October 2018

MSU PART-TIME EXECUTIVE ELECTIONS 2018/19

Maynooth Students' Union (MSU) held elections last March to fill a number of Part-Time Executive Officer positions. Every year, 6 students are elected to work part-time to improve the lives of students at Maynooth University. Together with the 4 Full-Time officers they form the MSU Executive and play a key role in shaping education, engagement, student welfare and services at the University, and lead MSU as an organisation to make sure it is doing everything it can for its members. The position of Postgraduate Representative was not elected last Semester so we will be electing this position during October.

MSU SENATE ELECTIONS 2018/19

Maynooth Students' Union (MSU) held elections last March to fill a number of Senate positions. Together with the 4 Full-Time and 6 Part-Time Officers officers they form the MSU Senate and play a key role in representing the needs and views of students, overseeing the work of the Union and informing MSU policy. In order to ensure the diverse student population is represented on Senate some of the roles have a particular focus. For example, the Green Campus Senator would represent green issues etc. The positions listed below were not elected last Semester so we will be electing these positions during October:

Elections take place on Tuesday 16th October.

MSU Academic REPs

An Academic REP (formerly Class REP) strives to make the college experience of every single student here better. Academic REPs represent their Department within their Faculty. For example, if you were a First Year undergraduate studying Greek you could become the Academic REP for the Ancient Classics Department within the Faculty of Arts.
